Tickets can be purchased at https://tbinh.org/event/we-care-concert/ TRAIL NOTES 3/11: After requests from property owners and seeing lots of bare trails, we closed the trails. The Ossipee Trail is still open to RT 16 and available via the parking lot on RT 171. 3/9: The warm sunny weather is changing things fast. Today, we are closing the east side trails, from Ambrose Marina to the Castle Parking lot on RT 171. Red Hill was groomed last night and still in good shape. We are checking the neck trails today. Our hopes are to last through the weekend but the situation is changing by the hour. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be sunny and warm, so no good will come of that. Stay tuned. 3/8: I’m reminded of the book, A Tale of Two Cities”. It was the best of conditions, the worst of conditions. While grooming the VK trail, then turning towards the Evergreen Island access to Winni and Lees Pond, and then the Village Trail, conditions ranged from bare ground to very deep snow. At times the Gator got stuck due to the depth. So, conditions in some parts can be considered good. However, the mud puddles near the club garage and between Ambrose Cove and RT 109 contribute to the Marginal” rating. Also, lake access points are dicey at best. We can’t groom the access points where we can’t turn around, because the heavier than a sled” groomer isn’t going on the ice. It is obvious that some sledders are though. With light mid-week traffic, conditions should hold till the weekend, even with daily temperatures above freezing. Enjoy it while it is here. 3/6: Saturday brought us up to 9″, but the weather has been warm since. Trails remain open but there are big mud puddles just east of the club garage on the way to the Village Kitchen and on C15 between Ambrose Cove Marina and 109. Travel there is not recommended. We will continue to groom this week in anticipation of the weekend. Beyond that, we’ll see what happens. 3/1: We’ve received about a foot of snow across a bunch of small storms. Eric rolled most the west side of the trail system on Tuesday. Some more snow is expected Wednesday night and Friday night. Daytime temperatures are forecasted to be above freezing over the next week, so conditions will deteriorate, but this weekend should be fairly good riding. There are lots of water bars, some that have never frozen all season, but the base elsewhere is good. Ride them while you can. 2/26: A heavy dose of flurries have brought 2-3″ since Saturday night. This is improving the trail conditions, allowing anMarginal Trail is passable but not recommended. May have thin base, open or partially filed water bars, bare spots, ice or trees down. May not have been groomed recently. Please use only as needed. Moderate Trail has fair riding, but will have bare spots, ice, waterbars or rough sections. Good Trail is flat with a good base. It may have been groomed recently but there are areas with moguls or washboard, or are mushy, icy or bare. Great Trail has a good base, regularly groomed flat with solid snow that should hold up to traffic. Unknown Condition unknown. Text color indicates last known condition.
